"Mindfulness" (2018)

A mixed media sculpture featuring a ceramic skull melting over an invisible sphere. The sphere is revealed only through the form of the skull draped around it and the impression it leaves in the sand below. The surrounding sand has been carefully raked to evoke a zen garden, creating a sense of stillness and contemplation.

Created as a companion piece "Mindlessness", this sculpture explores healing, mindfulness, and self reflection. The hidden sphere acts as a stabilizing presence beneath the surface, suggesting the ways therapy, introspection, and intentional care can help reshape the mind and provide support during periods of personal struggle.
